Please post pictures of the problem areas. I might be willing to pay you what you paid for it and get you out of your purchase dilemma. It looks pretty damned nice in his pictures! I am interested in it. Thanks.

My guess is the troll tried to install and damaged it - they are somewhat delicate and require you to remove the front trim piece (below the airbag) and glue it onto the trim piece. I've done 4 wheels and it takes some patience and gentle work. I listed two of these on Rennlist, and had 10 PMs asking for them, but this troll was first. Normally I would have taken it back, or just given him is $200 back, but he was such a jackass I decided against it. Rest assured these were perfect and removed from new wheels, exactly as described. Hopefully he didn't F them up too bad, and someone hear can profit from a great deal on a beautiful upgrade - the cheapest I could find these online was $500 - I believe they are over $1,000 from Porsche.

Or maybe the buyer damaged it himself.
Or maybe the buyer is a lunatic (or scammer) and it's not even damaged. Seriously, no pictures yet of the 'damage'? And it looks great in the seller's pictures?
I'm betting since no pictures it has the tiniest little scuff in it from shipping or something that will probably hand polish out and OP went off the deep end for no reason.

While I haven’t received my steering wheel from f4bones yet nothing about him screams to me as a scammer. He was very straightforward and shipped promptly after payment.
lack of pics from the OP is a red flag however

Just reading the different ways the parties have conducted themselves in public and private is quite telling.

F4bones is definitely NOT a scammer!
He’s provided personal info about himself on the forums, helped in countless posts and even sent me an extra IPD plenum that he had for FREE.
Guy is a great contributor to the forum.

I'm about to purchase a wheel trim myself from DB carbon at almost $900 delivered. Where is the place you found it for $500 if I can ask as I'd be interested in purchasing mine there if you thought they had good quality?
Thx.

@Kwmeo ,what is wrong with the item you received?
Are the carbon fiber areas (that are visible after the steering wheel trim is installed) scuffed or damaged?
In the pictures that @f4bones shared, the mounting areas (not visible when the trim is installed) look a little rough, but that might be a side-effect of the manufacturing or molding process. Those imperfections are clearly visible in the pictures included in the add, so you must have been aware of them before ordering the part.
If there are additional damages, you should post pictures, so experienced folks here can advise you if the condition is common or unacceptable for this trim part.
@Judd McPherson has already offered to take this off your hands, so you do have a resolution to your dilemma.

Guarantee the part was not damaged in shipment - it's a fragile part and I carefully wrapped it . . . this whole adventure is unmitigated BS.
On a different note, I took a flyer and ordered this Chinesium one on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/404750855281 - seller has both gloss and mat. I haven't installed in yet, but the quality looks remarkably good. I would definitely give this a shot if you were looking for a carbon conversion.
Also, I've purchased several items from this guy in europe - 100% legit and good communication and service . .

I will post the pics, because the pics you are posting is cut off where the said damage is, on some of the pics look at the glue you put on the tabs, and a piece of blue tape you had on the counter next to the trim that is on there as well. No worries tomorrow I will post the pics when I get to my warehouse. Just ask yourself why would I complain about a $200 perfect trim if it wasn’t damaged . Do you think I bought the item from you just to get on here and complain I reached out to you and you didn’t want to at least come halfway and make right far as I’m concerned you can go fvk yourself scammer or whatever you should be called and also I’ve been here way longer than you, regardless of how many post I have, I have better things to do than sit here and post on the rennlist. You wouldn’t even attempt to make good, so I’m just informing the rest of the members on here to be careful and be aware of you you shady, fvk
