Has anyone done this, and can they send pics? I'd like to see what it looks like in white... yes the configurator shows it but what about more natural lighting and maybe a close up?
Stuff I have read about this, says its basically cheap plastic painted the exterior color and glued on. When I read/saw this, I switched to inlays in aluminum instead.
Back in the day, dashboards often matched the exterior color. I don't think it works well now, particularly with the flashier colors. Trim colors don't cover much on the 992 interior ... A strip on each door, the horizontal bit on the dash right and left, the surround of the cupholder or whatever you decide to put there. The base trim is uninspiring gray plastic, the carbon fiber is genuine C/F but not special, the wood is actually nice with the right color interior, brushed aluminum so-so, brushed black aluminum (GTS) actually pretty nice. All these my opinions and opinions vary.
I don’t have the painted trim, but thought I would throw another idea out there. I went with leather in those spots and I haven’t seen much discussion around this option. It probably works better with two-tone leather interiors, but thought I would share the idea.
