I'm having a hard time deciding between these two interior packages. In the first package, whats the material for Rear seats and rear side panels?
$2,840 Standard Interior in Black with Leather Package In Smooth-Finish Leather:
Front seats
Upper section of the dashboard
Upper section of the door panels
Steering wheel rim
Door panel armrests
Center console lid
$4,530 Leather Interior in Black Includes in Smooth-Finish Leather:
Front seat
Rear seats
Steering wheel rim
Steering wheel airbag module
Door panel armrests
Center console lid
Upper section of the dashboard
Lower section of the dashboard
Glove compartment
Center tunnel knee pads
Upper section of the door panels
Center section of the door panels
Rear side panels
Thx, duc
The standard interior (w/o any leather package) includes:
in Embossed Leather:
Front seats
Rear seats
Rear seat center tunnel
In Smooth-Finish Leather:
Steering wheel rim
Door panel armrests
Center console lid
Everything not listed above is vinyl/rubber.
Moving up to the Standard Interior in Black with Leather Package, a large portion of the embossed leather is switched over to smooth finish leather (notably, the dash, top half of the doors, and front seats) while the rest remains embossed leather (for rear seats) or vinyl (for lower dash, etc.).
Moving up to full leather, everything (within reason, excluding some small portions such as the side of the dash, lower 1/4 of the door, etc.) is smooth leather.

Thanks so much for the clarification. Headed down next friday to lock in my build will...look at samples. In your opinion, is there a big difference between the embossed leather and smooth finish. Tried google-ing the difference but couldn't come up with much. My kids would be riding in the back...does one wear better than the other?
So the aluminum inlay is more likely to have scratches and dings?
As @Staffie Guy mentioned, it all depends on how you treat the car but I don't think that the aluminum trim will wear as well long term as the standard trim. Take a look at 2000's era BMWs to see what you are potentially dealing with. But if you like the look and you're going to be careful with it, by all means go for it. Definitely try to look at all of the options in person, even if it's in a different model line. My SA even took me in the back to check out some of the cars that were in for service. That trip was invaluable for finalizing my build.

Embossed leather will show less scratching then smooth leather.
