I like the visual impact of centerlock wheels; the central nut really ties the wheel together.
I have 5 lug hubs on my 992 Carrera S, and was wondering if there are any quality forged 992 compatible third party 5 lug wheels with a spinner component in the middle; like you find on the Eleanor, Shelby Cobra, and 1960s Ferraris.
I may not even like it once I see it on a 911 though; hard to know with just imagination. Could not find anything when searching.
No but there is a aftermarket wheel that looks like a center lock wheel (the bolts are covered by what looks like a center lock center piece. The thread was a few years back, but there were pictures and all.
While the CL's look cool (I have them on my GT3T) - I like the 5 lug better, the wheel that I describe above was pretty cool looking, looked like a CL, but with the utility of a 5 lug.
Definitely interested, thanks. I'll see if I can find that thread. If you have it handy or remember the wheel manufacturer do tell.
The maker is Aston Forged. They do a gt3 style center lock looking wheel with cover hiding the bolts. If you do a google search they will come up on eBay and others. There is a YouTube guy as well that installed on his red 992. He is on the forum here and was part of the above mentioned thread from a while back. Have to admit, they look really good.

I remember the red car too - GT3 style look alikes ...but they were not forged and not made by Aston Forged but a no-name brand in PRC. At least that what the guy with the red car had told me - I asked them at that time.
But there are other brands that do have 5 lug cover type wheels including Rotiform, if I remember correctly.
To the OP - the style of center twisty is not my style and sure would look goofy in my mind on a 911 - more like a lowrider style center aka spinners.

Perhaps we are talking about two different red 992s. The red 992 I am referring is on youtube with multiple videos and he states Aston Forged (he goes over them in detail). They are on Aston Forges website as well as from dealers on Ebay. GT3 replicas in all finishes and have the fake center lock covers.
Yes you're probably right about the spinners; was just trying to come up with some possibilities; but if I saw it in the flesh probably would not work.
