A plain pizza around here is $17. A salad could mean any number of things, but $10 is reasonable for a simple side salad. I haven’t bought a soda in literally 50 years, but I’d guess a drink would be $4. So that’s $31. 20% tip brings that to say $37. With tax say $40 out here in the boonies. Compared to NYC, I would have guessed you would pay way more than $50. I don’t know if your pizza had toppings or if your drink was a quart (small) or a gallon (large). Either way, it sounds like a bargain to me!

I was offered an allocation for a Macan 4 and did not skimp on options and came in around $95k.

Lets see
you live in NYC and have a new 911 so I assume you are filthy rich by most peoples definition (not a snub because I am too - well maybe just grubby rich rather than filthy) and you complain that junk food costs too much. I guess we all live in Lala land.

I'll say it - I like Costco pizza. I'm going to eat it tonight when I go there.
Over the last two years, I've watched my "demand order" build increase by about $15,000 USD and lose the option for Shark Blue. It's a tough pill to swallow, but these things aren't getting any cheaper. The used market isn't what it once was, but if you're thinking about getting a 911 and can get an allocation, I'd grab it ASAP.

NY has the highest pizza prices in the US, that's what is going on here. A steak dinner at Texas Roadhouse is less.

Costco pizza is horrendous by the way. I'm pretty sure it's just frozen pizza they bake in the oven. Churros are the same.

I like the pizza, but I'm primarily a $1.50 hotdog kind of guy

It's important to see the forest from the trees.
While inflation does influence price increases, the primary driver is the pubco's focus on generating shareholder value.
Porsche is a cash cow and it's milking it's 75 year history for all its worth.
Expect models and options to become more abundant and expensive.
I would be surprised if prices ever came down in the future.
There are many markets that are extremely underserved.

When are 911 price increases usually announced? I remember June in past years.

It is call Capitalism. If you are selling every 911 you can make why wouldn't you keep rising prices to increase your profit. Sure inflation is a factor but look at Porsche profit per vehicle. Also the stock market has been on a tear since 2008 the longest running bull market maybe in history. People have made a ton in the market which makes the price increase virtually insignificant. A neighbor just purchased a Yukon Denali for over $100k and that's not even an Escalade which seems to be to make 911 prices in line .
