I've removed all of the items you mentioned, but I'm considering adding the GT3 side skirts per this RL post (and they're half the price).

Re, sound systems: I just realized that Musica is local to me (Portland), so I'm going to stop by next week to discuss some alternatives (per this post).

Many people are happy with the Musicar upgrade so good to check that out. You’ll spend at least as much or more than the Burmester. Personally, I don’t like doing aftermarket stereos.

I've got two weeks to lock my build, and I'd love feedback from everyone!

Some notes about my goals and the initial choices I've made, if you're willing to provide feedback on my current build:
  • Design philosophy
    • While I might track this car occasionally (I recently started racing Spec Miatas, so I'll mostly get my track fix there), I'm trying to build an understated yet elegant, comfortable car for fun drives (I work from home, so I also won't be driving this on a daily basis).
    • That said, I also don't want it to be boring–just not lout, in-your-face --> I'd love suggestions on subtle ways to make things pop a little bit.
  • Interior considerations
    • Interior color and seats:
      • I really struggle, because I love the cognac from Exclusive Manufaktur Leather, but I'm not willing to pay an extra $8K+ for it.
      • Neither red nor truffle brown are my thing. Also, I'm not interested in Race-Tex
      • So, I'm considering either Black w/ chalk deviated stitching or Slate grey with chalk deviated stitching. Both options seem a bit boring, but I don't know what else to do.
    • Leather: I want as much leather as I can afford, but I didn't select some things (eg, air vents, upper mirror panel). Extended Exclusive Manufaktur Leather Interior doesn’t seem worth it (am I wrong?) --> am I missing anything that I'll regret?
    • Trim/inlays: I'm leaning towards carbon fiber, but will that work with my design philosophy above? Should I reconsider leather, brushed aluminum, or paldao (wood)? My local dealer doesn't have a bunch of 911s sitting on the lot with each of these options, so I can't actually see them in-person, myself.
    • "Pop": Should I spice things up with a red tach? Red seatbelts? Something else?
  • Transmission: Manual (yes, PDK is awesome–I've driven it–but I'm a purist in this department)
  • Things I'm pretty sure I don't want
    • Sports exhaust: Doesn't seem worth it to me, and I prefer the quad exhaust look anyway
    • FAL: Don't need it
    • PASM: Don’t want 10mm lowered / stiffer feel
    • RAS: Seems like it could be nice, but opinions seem mixed if it's worth the cost
    • SportsDesign front facia: Too expensive for something I'll rarely see
    • Audio: I'm not willing to spend extra for Burmester, so going with Bose

Again, here's my build. HUGE thank you in advance for your feedback!

Congratz on your allocation as well great dealer to do business with.

Slate grey with chalk stitching and seat belt is great- I had it on my 992. GTS .

Chalk Interior with dark grey Exterior would look nice as well (if you want spice thing up a bit)

I would recommend sport exhaust - it will make your rear look much cleaner

RAS - I would adding this option

other wise I think you already nailed all boxes.

I think you should keep the Exclusive Design tail lights. The clear/smoked lights look better to my eye. I also prefer the Sport Design side skirts over the GT3 side skirts on the non-GT 992’s.

Yeah, you're right. I just added the SD skirts and ED back on (and last night, I added RAS).

It's amazing how easily one can part with $4K in the blink of an eye for totally arbitrary vehicle options that would never happen on a "regular" car...lol.

PS
What's the best way to replace or tint the lower reflectors to match the ED tail lights?

Opinions will vary.

PSE and PASM/SPASM are must have options for me.

I am not a fan of RAS unless you are hunting lap times. With that said others do like it.

My next car will have FAL. Its a peace of mind thing. Not required but nice to have.

The rest is all decoration.

Full leather + steering column and a few other bits with appropriate stitching is usually enough.

Agreed on bose. Its fine for my ears.

The best you can do is use products from a company like Lamin-X and use a smoked film. I wish a company would come out with a clear/smoked reflector option.

RAS becomes a safer option now that it officially excludes the lithium battery. But I still worry about some of the comments I've read about how the car "feels different" when it has RAS.

I'm building a C4S that is very similar---so I have to say, great build!!

RAS is a must have for me (I'm lousy at parallel parking). I love it on my 4S.

Some easy decisions here.

1. Go with the Slate/Chock full leather interior. Will look great with Agate Grey and will be elegant and classy.
2. Ditch the RAS. Over the past few weeks I’ve driven several 992’s and the 992 chassis does not need it. The car is super responsive and dialed in and feels more analog and natural without RAS. There a reason why the Porsche chassis engineers removed it from the 911 S/T, they wanted a more classic and analog driving experience for the street.

I have the Alcântara headliner, sun visors, steering wheel/manual shift ****/boot and center console lid as well.
M3Inline6 to confirm, is your mirror panel leather or Alcantara? If the former, I would've thought you'd want to match to the headliner and sun visors.

It’s leather with deviated Chalk stitching that matches the deviated Chalk stitching on the leather in the car. When I ordered my car in 2021 as a ‘22, the Alcântara mirror panel wasn’t an option (…neither were the alcantara door sills). My door sills are leather with deviated Chalk stitching as well. The leather steering column doesn’t have deviated stitching however.
