Default Interior noise 992vs991vs718

Currently own a 991.1 C2 PDK and a 718 Cayman S 6spd. Anyone have any firsthand experience on how does the 911T or 911S would compare when it comes to interior noise levels on the highway 70-80mph. The Cayman S is a little loud when driving around 70 in 6th gear and accelerating. I get this induction noise which is a little tiresome on long drives. Thinking of trading the Cayman S for a T or S if I could get an allocation. For a reference just looking for a nice daily with a manual. I am a little concerned the T would transmit too much road noise and quite honestly I really like my 991.1 so am basically looking for something along those lines in a 992 with a manual

If you want a quieter ride get the S!

I have had the 991.1(4s), 991.2 (GT3 Touring and 4S) and the 992.1 (Coupe and Targa 4S) - all of them manuals.

The 992 is by far the most comfortable of all of them in terms of daily driving (Comfort and interior noise level) - the 992 is almost more of a GT car than any of the past generations.... The S/4S will be the most quite (I have the 992 Targa 4S, while louder by a bit from my 992 4S coupe I had) still quite enough when needed for phone calls, etc. The GT3 of mine (Currently have the 991.2) - it is 2X as loud.

It is not a mercedes or BMW, as it is still louder than those or my wife's Audi RSQ8 from an interior noise level. But I do not find the 992 bad at all, and I would say a nice bit better than the 991 generation. Also a little more updated tech makes it nice for me as my Daily driver.

The T will likely be the louder of the 992 (between the T and S) - I believe it has less insulation. (I do not have a T, a buddy does and I have ridden it it - I did not think it was much louder (IIRC) - but as far as sports car goes I didn't think it was that bad, nor do I think my 4S is. But it is pretty subjective on what you want or need, specifically if longer road trips, etc.

I went from a 987 Cayman to a 992 T.

My Cayman was pretty loud since I had a Carnewal exhaust, sounds great on weekend drives but too loud for daily commute to work.

I love the T, it’s a lot quieter than the 987 in Normal drive mode and I did opt for the Burmester and it’s the best thing ever on daily commute.
