Gold or Grey Wheels with Meissen Blue
#16
Well my heart says gold, but my brain says grey! GB has some grey to it...similar to the Etna blue and arctic grey that work nicely with the grey wheels. I feel like the grey "grounds" all that blue color a little, but keeps some definition in the wheels unlike pure black. I'd love for the gold to really work and pop. Thank you all for the feedback. It's been super helpful to hear your thoughts. I realize it comes to personal preference, but hearing how you think creates a dialogue about it that is not just in my head, and it helps a ton. HRE has a satin white gold similar to the Weiss gold from Porsche that is oh so tempting. I hope i have the guts to pull the trigger on it. I'll post some picks after i get it all dolled up. Actually seeing the color in person may help!!

The (in)famous Nick Murray actually has a video on a GB GT3 that has by far the most lighting conditions I've seen. Sure makes the satin dark silver wheels look good. But you could put just about anything on a GT3 and it looks good. Skip to the 2:50 mark for some good shots if you're interested.

I bet all the guys who voted dark silver wear their jackets two sizes too big, have never even considered a double monkstrap shoe, and quite possibly crease their jeans. 🤭
Have some flair, gentlemen; like an Italian.

Agreed, dark silver has an understated elegance. But I'm also pretty sure the old 1960/70's Ferrari's were known for their gold wheel's. Maybe there's something about having some Italian flare after all. And maybe **** carpet will come back around too!

I went with satin white gold face/polished lips/gloss black barrels for my Chalk 992, and I think that color would look good with blue too. I, too, experienced some difficulty trying to visualize how everything would tie together; I was also considering the easy route Gloss Black. Ultimately I had HRE do some renders for me to help me with the decision making process. While not exactly my car’s spec, the renders helped a lot.
Here’s satin white gold BBS’ on two different green GT3’s:
….and here's a better picture of SWG HRE’s on an M3:
Gray is safe. I say live a little, especially with your car having the AeroKit.

If it were my car, I would be safe with silver and be fine with my decision.
Overall, I cannot stand gold wheels, until I saw the Meissen Blue combo in the pic you posted...wow, that contrast is on point. So, since we are talking about your car, if you want contrast, go for the gold!
