992 GTS - PCCB upgrade or na?
Thoughts on the Turbo stock brakes on the GTS vs pccbs?
stock brakes are just as large as PCCBs
are pccbs worth the $9k upgrade?

Sure, why not.
It's only money.

I recently traded my 992 S Cab in on a GTS that happened to have the Ceramics. I would not have spec'd them if I ordered, but I was willing to bite the bullet because the rest of the car fit the bill. Early impressions after 500 miles are quite positive; however, I am still in the "honeymoon" phase.

I had them on my 991.2 TTS and loved them. I bought a new 24 GTS off the lot that does not have them. I wish it did. I’m in the “I hate brake dust camp” and do not track my cars. If I am able to spec a new 992.2 in a couple of years I will for sure add them.

No brake dust and no rust after washing wheels/brakes is worth it. I wouldn't buy them for the stopping ability. Porsche iron rotors are plenty good already.
You could talk about the unsprung weight savings too.
Porsche was originally marketing PCCB's as being the racing option, but most people that are tracking will use iron rotors as if/when you need to replace the PCCB's, it's very expensive.
I don't have them but have driven plenty of cars with them.

The steel brakes on the GTS are directly from the Turbo and are excellent. If you’re thinking of a manual and you like heel -toeing on the street, just be mindful how the ceramics are really going to grab and stop the car - like immediately.

If this is a value question, it depends on what you value.
You don't really get much more braking power, just lightly different feel.
They are worth it if you want to reduce unsprung weight or brakes that will last a decade or two.
They are not worth it if you want less dust, no rust, or yellow calipers IMO.

Are they worth it? Absolutely not. My first GTS (used) had them and I really really liked them. Ordered this time. They look great, perform great. Good enough for me.
9k for brakes seems more reasonable than the 4000 I spent on thread.

They were a stop sale on my 2023 GTS otherwise I would have definitely ordered them. Had them in my 997TT and R8's.
