Default Forum new messages logic?

Hi all,

maybe this is offtopic. I‘m sorry if so dear admin. Please delete or move this question if stupid.

I wonder how to manage to see only new messages in threads which are new since I logged in last time?

I have an account and I have no idea why to push always to the end?

I check news 5-6 times every day !

I hope my question make sense.

best and I love the level of informations and energy here

thanks 🙏

A rectangular border around the post count on the right will show you if there have been new posts since you last checked the thread.

I believe if you click or tap on the rectangle, it will take you to the first new post since you last read the thread.
(If there aren’t enough posts to fill a “page”, then you are taken to the top of the page).

When you click on a thread you have already viewed you should see a box at the top of the thread that says - “go to first unread”. This will take you to the spot you left off.

I don't see the count box on my website. There is a "last post" column, but I have nothing else?

I should have mentioned, the screenshot and behavior was on an iPhone using Safari.

On my laptop, the website does look different.

I have noticed this over the years on this site as well (none of the other sites - they all work - like I think the OP and I kindof expect).

When on FerrariChat or other - if you click on the title of a thread you have seen before, it will take you to the exact page and post of where you left off - no doing anything else at all.

On Rennlist, I have been just remembering if I have seen it, and going to the last page and figuring out where I might have left off. Not a huge deal, but harder the more pages there are - or if you go several days without checking in.

I have to believe it is a forum admin level setting, as I see nothing in my settings that can change that behavior...

exactly and there is as well this annoying jump back to previous pages once you scroll down. I never understood this feature
