It's a nut. It's going to show tool marks after a while.
The owner? Too easy, had to.
Mine has some wear, but nothing major. I think it is no different than your normal lug nuts showing wear after a tire cycle or on/off event. If it worries you, budget replacement center lock nut money every few years or whatever you fancy.
Mine came with some of the anodization that was worn off after my ED. Just on one of the notches and very little, but I noticed it. I had winter wheels so they removed and reinstalled my summers, which probably caused the wear. I was told it's normal wear/tear when the nut is removed/installed. I tend to agree, although, I'd rather have it perfect. It's anodization so it definitely will wear down over time. If you google images of racecars with center locks, you'll see massive amounts of wear. Look at it as patina.
This is off a 2019 991.2 GTS. Two tire changes. Like someone else said, it is a nut and will start to show wear. I haven't done anything special to try and make them look better.

That's not caused by the tool when removing/installing. What you see is oxidization on an anodized finish from cleaning agent. Wheel cleaner?
Anyone ceramic coat theirs? I wonder if that would help.
I have ceramic coated them, although I have not removed them or done anything but drive after application, so don't have anything worthwhile to report.
