I grabbed the Milwaukee 18V inflator off of Amazon. I already had a pile of Milwaukee batteries and the tool itself isn't too expensive so made it a no-brainer. It's pretty slick. Completely idiot proof, works quickly. A bit noisy but I'm sure they all are and on the 911 it doesn't have to run for very long.

I have a full station (normal California Air Compressor) with a 50 foot air hose to do major work, air tools etc).
But a 4 or so years ago I bought the 12V Milwaukee air compressor to have a portable one for transport or if I need to do just a quick topoff. I then bought a Milwaukee 18v version (more power and quicker fill ups).
I barley use anything but those 2 for tire fill ups. Quick, portable, kids even use them. I also can take one of them with me on longer trips if needed.. Dewalt and others make similar (I have all Milwaukee products so had the system/batteries in place. I am not sure how I lived without them, and everyone that comes over to my garage ends up buying one - way to handy not to have...
I originally bought the Milwaukee Compact inflator because most of my tools use M12 batteries. It's okay for a few pounds of air but slows down and can nearly drain the small battery if you need a lot of air. I have hints that an M18 Tire Inflator is wrapped under the tree.
Years ago i got a pair of Vaiar compressors to have in my cars for emergencies and to top off the tires at home. Proven very useful a couple times when I've gotten nails while far from home or any service station. Since the 911 has one in the frunk that works for the emergency one.
at home, i use the Vaiars if i need to inflate the big wheels more than a couple PSI. otherwise i have another battery operated one that I got off of the Amazon Vine program that surprisingly works pretty well even on the 20" tires. But that again is only to top off a couple PSI. Seems like any number of them will work well these days.
These little inflators are so good that I feel this is antiquated thinking. No reason not to have one of these in the garage.
Exactly. Whenever fall rolls around and the tire pressures drop, there are tremendous lines at my local Discount Tire stores to get their free air. There are numerous compact inflators to choose from that get the job done in under 5 minutes.
