Default Change Freeze Date Moved to the Past

I saw something interesting in the tracking app today...
My change freeze date was moved into the past.

My original change freeze date was December 4th.
This evening, the date has been changed to 11/27.
This is seven days earlier than the original date.

But it is also five days in the past from today!
I did not receive a warning or notification.
(I don't mind, because I am set with my build and looking forward to getting the car as soon as possible).

Has happened to anyone else?
If so, were there some last-minute things that you had wanted to change with your build that you could no longer do?

It happens, which is why it’s good to have your build set 30 days before the proposed freeze. Some people make last minute changes too close to the freeze date and suddenly find themselves being locked out of options they were previously granted.

Mine moved back 2 days with no notice. My dealer warned me this could happen and told me not to expect to be able to change after one week prior to the posted freeze date.

Yep. My SA didn't warn me either. Welcome.

It happens.

Also, your consumer freeze date is difference than the actual freeze date for the dealer. I changed my spec a bit after my actual freeze date.

Yes. My SA warned me that the freeze date often jumps forward by a week or so because of production scheduling so do not rely on the lock date.

I just checked mine. My freeze date moved from 1/7 to 12/17. My order was confirmed on 8/24 and haven't changed anything since. I was also told by my dealer if I changed anything I would run the risk of losing some options. But I'm still very pleased with my current build from the confirmed date.

My TYD freeze date was 15 days prior to it actually freezing per internal info that dealerships have access to. I have been informed that PCNA & PAG prefers for clients to believe that the date has frozen when in reality it has not.

Here’s a heads up for any one going through the process and you have an allocation !!!!

Don’t leave your configuration changes until the last minute - my build locked on 12/5 which is 9 days before the original lock.

The good news - delivery is now scheduled for 3/3/24 which is 10 days before the original delivery date.

Yes, welcome to ordering a Porsche. I had my PTS slot freeze a week early then was told "no changes for you". Luckily the locked shade is almost identical to the one I was thinking about changing to, so no big deal. But I can see how someone might get a little annoyed if Porsche their $15k color choice for them!
