Shark Blue availability

Shark blue is out
Ironically enough those were my final two colors. Very different vibe. Carmine is great. Rare (probably bc Guards is so great, historic and cheaper). Im 38 so I went with the more aggressive flavor of SB. Carmine S or Turbo S with a heritage interior would be fantastic.
mine starts in April

I had an E46 M3 in Imola. Gorgeous color.
With reds, I tend to gravitate to the brown based ones over the orange based ones. Once you 'see' the difference, you can tell right away which is which.
My Alfa 4C is also a deep rich non metallic red. Magic.

If Shark Blue is going to be NLA for builds starting March 2024, that explains why my SA said my build code was rejected for T allocation with a estimated build date of March 7, 2024.
So I went with Carmine Red, though its not my first choice and it was accepted by the system. That was a couple of weeks ago.
Fast forward to today, all of a sudden my build date has been moved to February, according to the estimates on myporsche.com. Does this mean I could spec Shark Blue again?!?
Im not exactly sure how 992T allocations and the whole Porsche ordering system works, but would it be reasonable for me to ask my SA to give my Shark Blue build code another go to see if the system will accept it this time?

I decided not to even try. Wife asked me what if they stopped offering it in carmine red? would you then want that more?
I probably would. So carmine red it is! Besides carmine is arguably less loud of a color than shark, so it actually suits me better.

Track Day
It took me a long time to decide between shark blue and carmine red. Every time I see shark blue, I really appreciate it, but I wonder if I could drive it every day. Ultimately, my wife and daughters "helped" me decide on carmine red for my Targa. Like others have said in this thread, I don't think you can go wrong with either color, especially if you want to break free from the white/silver/black Porsche mafia. And I write that having sold my white 718 Spyder back to the dealer when I got my Targa allocation.

Do note these totals of 911s available on cars.com (model year 2017+) include the more popular (cause cheaper?) Guards Red

So Shark Blue is not available for any P car builds after March? If so will they add another color to the palette for GT4RS? It would be down to only 8 colors...

I was able to add shark blue to my 4RS order that locked in May, have since switched to PTS, but I hope itll still be available if PTS is rejected. I like Gentian but not a fun enough color for a GT car imo

Good to know SB is still available for 4RS builds. My build locks in May. Yeah, the color palette is lacking IMO. Would of been nice if there was a green or carmine red or even chalk.

Love both colors, but it never fails that if I am in a red car the cops 'like' me more

totally agree, crazy to me that Porsche cant keep the standard color palette open for a car that costs ~200K, same goes for 3RS
