8 New 992 911's in Sacramento Dealer?
#32
When looking at what a dealership, any dealership not just Porsche, shows they have on-line or what a salesperson says they have over the phone may or may not bear any resemblance to what they actually have on hand.
The ONLY way to know for sure what a dealer has on hand and for sale (no buyer presently) is to go to that dealer, in person, put your hand on a car with the salesperson there and tell them you are a cash buyer and you want to buy it right now. Then and only then will know know: A.) What car(s) they have on hand and B.) Which of the cars they do have on hand are actually available for sale.

So said "available" new 991's on their website are all mock-up pictures, NOT actual photos of the vehicles in their possession. Because they don't have possession.

I just called them, spoke to Barry. Those cars were for sale at some point, all except two are sold, 15-25K ADM depending on where you live.

Classic. Those that don't have a 992 yet but want one are talking about pricing falling and sometimes/possibly presenting skewed facts to try to make that a reality. Is the market softening - yes but there is still a wait for 992 allocations and certainly not at anything less than MSRP. Most dealers are still demanding an ADM (all models). Most people who can afford an 911 are not impacted by interest rates. Given that even the 911 is likely going hybrid sooner vs later is also keeping demand strong.

The days of ADM on anything other than GT cars are finally leaving, I think. Just look at auctions on cars & bids for just about anything.
Anyone with sense knew this was coming; we just all thought it would happen gradually starting 6-9 months ago and would track alongside interest rate hikes. It turns out all that pent-up demand held out a little longer, but the normalization started more like two months ago and has been rapid.
