2024 911 Targa 4 Allocation Build Question
Hi everyone, after waiting nearly 3 years, my local Porsche dealership called me with an allocation for a Targa 4 at MSRP. For the past 3 years I have been attempting to get a Targa 4 without markup as I have been offered several 4S’ without markup but for some reason all the dealers who got a Targa 4 marked it up $15K-$30K. Now as for the reason I wanted specifically a Targa 4 is because I would rather put the extra $ into options. Now that I got that out of the way, I was looking for PTS, either signal yellow, mint green, or lighter green however PTS isn’t being offered so I decided to use the PTS $ for a Heritage Design Interior. The question I have is I opted to go with Racing Yellow Exterior with Heritage Design Interior (Cognac). What are peoples thoughts on the color combo? My complete Porsche Build Code is: PRCVLAA4 . My build locks in 2 days so any input would be massively appreciated!

I don't like it, but that is me (and you did ask : ) ).
I think either pick a better color to go with the Heritage interior (which is where you spend most of the time around the car anyway) or change the color of the interior.
Or, just get what you want and be happy with it, heck with what people say.

Not sure those colors go together
From the renders at least, but sometimes it’s hard to tell unless I see it in person.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a yellow car with a brown interior though.

I'd go black classic if you want yellow. Otherwise a blue with the brown classic.

Congrats on the allocation.
The exterior/interior combo does not work for me. You need to decide which of the two is more important to you and then reconfigure the other element. Personally, I would change the exterior color while keeping the Hertitage Design interior. Try the Sports Grey Metallic exterior (you mentioned adding a PTS color) or even one of the PTS green colors.

If you want the yellow exterior I would go with the Back/Pepita heritage interior rather than Cognac.
IMO the cognac heritage would go very well with all the other exterior colors except Yellow, Shark Blue and Ruby Star.

I don't think that yellow works with that interior. The heritage interior is awesome, but it doesn't go with everything. This combination is a "brown belt with black shoes" pairing.
Also, if you are going with silver wheels, go with the classic silver Targa bar.

Black Heritage Design interior with yellow and a silver Targa bar looks considerably better if yellow is your thing.

Or, if you want to keep the cognac brown plus a bright color I think guards red looks good. Although I'm partial to guards red as it's what I ordered. I also agree that I prefer the targa bar to match the wheels, but it's fine in black too.

What about this beauty?

My 2 cents: The GT Silver with the Cognac seats is the best option you've presented so far. The seat inlays match with the exterior, and the Cognac leather adds a classic touch.

What about this configuration, I know it's a bit out there but it's offered in the Z06 as well

If you like it, buy it, but you'll have a hard time selling or trading it at even below wholesale pricing, so you have to hope you won't get tired of it. I did see the original heritage interior you picked in a GT3 Touring PTS Green (somewhere between a British Racing Green and a dark moss green) and it looked amazing. I think it is back at the dealership in the showroom for 6 months as a favour to the purchaser who is travelling and doesn't have enough garage spots for it. I could try and take a picture. It was very sharp (not a Targa though).
