GTS vs GT3
The GTS is an absolute blast to drive. It's fast, sounds great, and the suspension is just right. If you plan on tracking the car often then I'd go for the GT3. Whatever you choose, just remember to enjoy the process.
The market is trending down now…. Cancel both cars and find a GT3 that’s closer to the spec you actually picked when you ordered the GTS. It’s silly to spend 6 figures on a car that isn’t what you want. Personally I’d rather have a bicycle than a silver GT3 with sofas… but I really hate silver cars so everyone will have their own take, I guess.
That said I’d get a Turbo S or GTS with buckets. I’m weird like that.
Hey OP why not respond and tell us how you are planning to use the car? Without that info, feedback is not as relevant.
Makes me question how interested you are in getting valid responses vs. responses you want to hear.

Depends on how you will be driving the car.
If you stay under 5500 rpm, get the GTS. If you will be above 5500, the GT3 wins hands down.
Especially with the double-wishbone front suspension.
It's a "game-changer".

After reading your recommendations, it appears that GT3 is still superior to GTS.
I intended to use the car for weekend fun rides with friends and some track time (with ratio of 70:30). Eventually I will end up with a GT3RS at some point. I love the look of the new one.
I'm thinking about retaining the GT3 and passing on the GTS. However, the dealer stated I could keep my GTS order and decide when I saw the GT3 in person. (They'll both be at the dealer about the same time), so if I change my mind, they can definitely just relocate the GT3.
P/S: The GT3 is an extra car given directly by Porsche at the end of the year, which is why they can't change the specs, and I believed that. The time of allocation and order confirmation shown on My Porsche App seems relatively recent (end of October and transferred to production right around early November).

Curious if dealer is asking for ADM on the GT3? 'At MSRP' GT cars have been unicorns for the last few years, so wonder if this is a sign of the times, or perhaps he's just really keen to move it by the end of the year?
Dealer only ask MSRP for the car. As I mentioned early they said the car was given on top by Porsche so it short notice and not belong to the allocation list.

Otherwise...weekend car only - GT3 all day, even with sofas. At MSRP you will not be losing money if you don't like the car.

Especially to someone that has no previous buying history with this Porsche dealer.
And just because this build was previously specc'd and locked is meaningless.
There will be "others" willing to pay an ADM for this car.
Keep us posted as to how this "story" unfolds.

With all due respect, given the end of the 992.1 production run it would be rather far-fetched for a dealer to sell a 2024 GT3 at MSRP given the demand out there in the marketplace.

Well I purchased a Cayenne GTS back in 2016 and then a 2022 Cayenne S. That’s pretty much it.

But I always tag along with my friends, who owned a 2018 GT3, GT4 to the event Car&Coffee or unveiling new cars, maybe networking helps a-bit

I don’t really get the comments about GT3 for a weekend car. Where on the road do you hit 8-9k RPM? It’s not really common , at least I hope not around me.
GTS will both feel and be faster on the road
if you are gonna track it then sure get the gt3 but don’t really understand the sentiment if you aren’t.
gt3 will feel pretty underwhelming in normal road driving.
