Default Getting replacement seats for the 992

Does anyone know how possible it is to get replacement seats for the 992 from the dealer? If you have, say, 4-way seats and want to upgrade your car to something like the Full Carbon Lightweight Bucket seats, is it possible just to buy those seats right now brand new? If so, at what cost and where?

You can, but it’s beyond cost prohibitive.

Try calling AZCycleparts as they take in a lot of totaled 911s to part out.

Get in touch with @thigos . In this thread, he replaced his 18 ways with carbon buckets in his 992. Said it costs $8K all in to replace just the driver's seat so I assume it would be $16K for both seats. Very expensive but hey, I say go for it.

So what Recaro seats do you guys recommend? And what will they run you on average?

Also, sport bucket seats aside, what if I want to buy a brand new set of 4-way or 18-way seats for a 992 from Porsche? Would new replacement (non-LWCB) seats be really expensive too?

@Understeer posted a Thread here with details on his Recaro swap experience. One thing I didn’t immediately think about that he mentioned was this takes away the airbags that are in the seat unless recaro has made a newer version since or you are in Europe.

The Racaro Podium seat is the seat that would best replicate the carbon buckets from Porsche. It is a full carbon seat that is 9lbs. If you would like a set let me know.

Here is a link to the seats.

Default Seat Exchange

Maybe there needs to be a seat exchange thread. I personally would like 18 way seats, and I have seen many folks preferring the buckets. Problem is if you find them they cost $$$ then you have to match your interior.

OEM 918/GT3 Carbon buckets from Germany will cost you about $14k plus shipping through DHL. I priced them shipped to California, but I have yet to pull the trigger. Contact scuderia_v.shop on IG. They are also a member here on the forum.
