991 vs. 992 model years
Question about model year spacing:
991.1 2011-2014
991.2 2015-2019
992.1 2020-2024 (1 extra year?)
992.2 2025- 2028 (?)
There seems to be a 1 year delay on the 992.2 based on historical timeline. I'm sure all speculation and no one knows for sure but do you guys think this means a shorter lifetime of 992.2 before 994? Or just a longer 9 year lifespan of 992 before the 994?

If in the USA, the 991.1 was introduced midway through 2012, there were none in 2011.
There may very well be an extra year tacked on before the next generation. Could be because of Covid, or just smart to run it out some more. If you cannot keep up with current demand and sell every one you make, why rush to re-tool? Get an other year or so out of your existing production structure. Smart management.
