I spent few weeks tried 5+ways to solve it but faild, anyone can help? 1. reduce engine oil (not work)2. change head of exhaust pipe (make the noise worse) 3.use better gasoline (not work)4.Sound proof upon the engine(not work)5.use sport mode forever (work, but i dont think it is a right way)

Take the car out of normal mode and put it in either sport or sport plus. Don’t drive in normal mode. That was only made for emissions purposes and is boring and annoying. Then move the accelerator with purpose and stop driving around at 1500 rpm lugging the engine.

My 22 GTS manual does not make any of those noises. It’s probably a transmission noise. I’d guess that in normal mode, the pdk shifts to 2nd at ridiculous low rpm’s and you’re essentially lugging the engine. I’ve never owned a pdk so that’s a guess, but that’s what it sounds like to me: lugging the engine.

I don't hear any unusual noise in the video but will say this.
Normal mode is for faster engine warmup, and for driving in frigid weather. But at warmer temps, Normal mode does not use all of available cooling and should be changed to Sport or Sport+ for full cooling.
I've seen my oil temp drop 30°F, switching away from Normal. It hovers near 200°F in Sport or Sport+, and around 230°F in Normal.
Look at your normal operating oil temperatures in all 3 modes when warmed up, and you will see what I'm talking about. Give it at least 15 minutes in each mode after warmup to get to equilibrium.

Yes. As soon as you start the car switch the car into sports or sports plus. I have no idea what normal feels like anymore. The last time it saw that mode was the first day I bought the car and realized how awful that mode is. You’ll enjoy the car more in the other modes. It exists for no other purpose than to appease the regulators and revenue collectors of various criminal organizations….oops I meant governments.

personally only use normal on flat highways. in town or any incline i pop it into sport or sport+. the lag in normal in traffic is just too much and i don't want to do a 5% grade at 1500 rpm.

Definitely not normal - would take it to a more competent dealership.

It sounds similar to my 2012 992 C2S. Between 1000 and 2000 RPM it low to moderate acceleration speeds I get the “rumbling of lumber” sound coming from the rear of the car. There have been numerous threads about the motor mounts on this forum. I suspect it is the motor mounts that are making that noise at that RPM in normal mode. Like others have noted if I put the car in sport mode, I do not get that rumbling sound mostly because I am accelerating harder and the car is not spending time between 1000 and 2000 RPM. To my knowledge, this is not an uncommon defect, but I have elected not to do anything about it and just live with it. I don’t think it’s going to impact the drivability of the car.

here is an idea. maybe drive it above 1500 rpm. i honestly can't believe you made that video.

its a sports car. they make noises. if you are going to scrutinize every single noise a 992 makes you are going to have a miserable ownership experience because they all make noises ... all of them.

drive the car and enjoy!

Agreed with most here, this seems normal to me after owning two 992s 911. The noise is from lugging the engine at low RPMs, I wouldn't worry about it.
