Here are some additional photos of the underside of the OEM Carrera deck lid (..pic #1) the GT3 Touring decklid (..pic #2):
The mount points are the same and the vented areas on the OEM Carrera decklid base are more or less the same/in the same locations as that of the GT3 Touring. I’m close to pulling the trigger. I’m just waiting to hear back from TECHART; the part number utilized for the ducktail spoiler is the same for the Carrera and the GT3 Touring. I inquired with them about the brake light connectors being the same between the two cars.
Did you get this all installed ? Curious to see how it looks!
oh my that looks good... fml, am i about to just keep throwing money at mine lol.
I have a c4gts, going with the moshammer ducktail, i feel like this rear grill will finalize the look. that's beautiful...
The OEM GT3 Touring deck lid is $3500, but worth it.

No, the third brake light is active. When you remove the OEM Carrera deck lid, the OEM GT3 Touring deck lid snaps right on, and the brake light connector plugs are the same. It’s literally a 5 minute process.

Looks like it's $4400 now on suncoast btw... but yeah, looks very very good, very tempting to grab this.
I don't think i'd have any GT3 fomo anymore if i did this honestly... i'm in Colorado, so the c4gts is really nice in the winters.

oh wait, does this gt3 touring deck lid have a light in it? is it housed within that slightly raised horizontal section?

Yes, pricing has increased since I performed this mod. The AeroKit used to be +/- $2400 when it first came out (….and those who purchased back in 2022 got it for a hell of a price; those of us who adopted it later paid double).
Once I got the deck lid and the LWB’s, my GT3 FOMO pretty much went away since it was more cosmetic for me than mechanical. I like turbocharged motors just as much, if not a tad more than naturally aspirated motors.

Yes!

Yes it is an OEM part. At the time, nobody to my knowledge had done the swap. Through my email conversations with Suncoast, they stated that they hadn’t tried it either and updated their page to reflect that it was still in testing. Suncoast was unsure it would work and would not allow returns IF I ordered it. Porsche Columbus, the dealership I ultimately ended up purchasing from, echoed the “special order, no return policy” because I didn’t have a GT3 VIN. I was fairly confident, so I took the chance….and it worked. I contacted Suncoast post-mod to advise them it was a plug n’play swap (…and compatible with the AeroKit …obviously), but it seems they never removed the testing disclaimer off of their page.

I almost never purchase from Suncoast solely due to their refusal to release Part Numbers - even when asked to verify fitment, they won't release this data. Fairly outrageous. Silversprings is a MUCH better source - great service and free shipping over $500 - had great luck with them.
@M3Inline6 thanks for all the insight! Is the dealer cheaper than suncoast? I guess i can call the parts department and ask.
I assume my fomo will also be gone if "i do this one last thing" lol, so far
- new wheels that are similar to the lightweight gt3rs wheels (no center locks though, so i still have fomo there, but probably just one i'll get over)
- Ducktail
- gt3 sideskirts
- turbonite hood emblem (that will perfectly match the wheels / centercap color scheme)
- potentially pull trigger on this GT3 T deck lid
All in, that's probably around $12,000, not that bad a price to pay to get over fomo and save myself $100,000
( $3500 + $2200 + $500 install + $600 + $150 + $4400 )
Yes, Suncoast is among the most expensive retailers for most parts - if you have the PNs, just shop online - you will always find better pricing. FYI, I have a set of near-new OEM GTS centerlock hubs and brakes that will bolt on and convert your 992 to CL wheels and big brakes. . if you want CLs, you might consider this before shopping for wheels. PM me if interested.
