Can someone explain the difference between the courtesy lights included in the Premium Package (Power Folding Exterior Mirros Including Courtesy lightning) versus the "Porsche Logo LED Door Courtesy Lights" you can select in the configurator under the "exterior" sub menu?

 

The Courtesy light with premium package lights up all around the doors/ground when you walk up and comfort access detects the key (or i assume you press the unlock button) The porsche logo is simply the logo that requires Opening the door to see.

 

My configurator says the premium package includes ambient lighting, not courtesy lighting (which I think is standard giving some lighting as you open the door). The ambient lighting is color selectable and is in the footwells, doors, etc. I cannot find a reference for "Porsche Logo LED Door Courtesy Lights," but there is an under puddle light option which projects the Porsche logo on the pavement under the door sill when the door is opened.

 

The puddle light, which also is a Red - light can be seen when opening the door, so if the door is open, it can be detected. This also shines a white light onto the ground from below the door. The Porsche LED Puddle light - spells out "Porsche" . This is an easy DIY upgrade if you want to do yourself later. Here is a youtube on a different model
