PCCB Shortage?

PCCB Shortage?
I have a Targa 4 GTS being built in November and when it configured it, the PCCB's were not available. It's an Aventurine green car with the black Turbo S wheels that I intended to paint Weiss Gold. With that color, I have to have ceramic brakes. The configurator will now allow you to select ceramic brakes but my dealer says his info indicates it's still not available. So he's trying to get that worked out for me. Has anyone had any luck getting Porsche to make any exceptions and if so, how did you do it? I was at the factory last fall and they don't seem like they will ever make exceptions but I'm still going to try. If I lose, I'll have to buy used rotors or aftermarket.

At this point I’m just thinking of keeping steel and getting surface transform, heard great things about them, lighter than steel but not as light as pccb.

I don't see that on the configurator being available. PCCB has been in short supply for awhile. I think the last time they were available to spec for non-GT cars was in 2022. If you can get it, great. Although the current pads are much dirtier than before.
I bought all the parts needed for OE conversion - rotors, calipers, pads, hardwares. Expensive hell yeah but only need to do it once. I can't stand the regular brake look on the T so went down the path for ceramic.

I see what I did. I was on the international configurator https://configurator.porsche.com/en-...reen=1920x1080. So maybe the PCCB's are not being offered on US GTS models.

Your dealer is blowing smoke up your a$$....PCCB is not currently available on any Carrera/Targa models, but 992 Targas were sold with PCCB in 2021-2023 model years.
