Nice to hear, but those were BMWs and a Porsche SUV, with pricing dictated by very different supply-and-demand terms.

It's not just Porsche, look at the details in this article about pricing - to include used cars - how little you get for your money today compared to 2019. This is unsustainable. Porsche is a luxury brand so to some degree it falls outside this cone. But the rest of the auto industry can't sustain this upward spiraling price structure, which is going to get worse after this UAW contract. They are handing the bulk of the auto manufacturing industry to Tesla, China and Vietnam, to sweep in with low priced EVs to collapse the floor on both the new and used market. The middle (even upper middle) class can't afford new cars anymore without auto loans that look like mortgages, and soon won't be able to afford the pre-owned market either.
