Wow this is a surprising good news given how many threads talking about the problematic LiPo batteries come with RAS, I have my 24 GTS w/ RAS to be delivered on November, we will see how that goes.

No it seems Porsche has decided to resolve the mistakes of the past and it is going only for AGM batteries. Also all 2024 cayenne seem to have AGM batteries.
This is good news. Even better news is seeing a manufacturer learning from their mistakes.

With all due respect I think the decision to drop Li-Ion batteries from 2024 yr Porsches was likely taken by their bean counters rather than engineers. I wonder if they still fit the Li-Ion batteries to the 2024 992T cars or does it only apply to cars fitted with RAS. RAS has a constant high power draw from batteries which might also be a factor.

Porsche changed from lithium back to AGM batteries in MY 2023 Cayenne because of so many issues. Pleased to see them make same change for 911 in MY 2024. FYI - GT3 had RAS with AGM batteries for many years with no issues. Porsche lithium batteries not ready for prime time which is evident if you search all the lithium battery threads and issues on this forum.

So much missinformation. The same problems exist with the AGM batteries too. Every EV car on the road is full of Lithium batteries and Porsche among other manuf. have been putting them in certain models for 10+years. It is not a battery issue but a module/SW issue. Whomever said it is a bean counter decision is right.

What is the no cost trim option "rear speaker trim finish". I gather is not a stand alone option rather than a part of some package. Pics??

So if my LifePO goes bad, can I drop in an AGM?
