Carrera Classic Wheels - Gloss Black Inserts
Hey All
I have bought a low k well specced Carrera S and am loving it. It has Carrera Classic wheels and I keep looking at them and wondering if I paint the grey bits gloss black. Keeping the shiny machine lip etc. Anyway, has anyone done this and if so can you post a couple of photos.
Cheers

I have these wheels and actually prefer the gray tone on the inner spokes and wheel wells as it hides the break dust better, especially on the rear. I’m sure the black would still look good but haven’t seen anyone yet who has had them painted although assume someone has.

I would paint the wheels gloss black. It gives the car a better appearance.
The black wheels get dusty very quickly, but it is not much worse than the stock wheel wheel color when running OEM brake pads.
You can change the brake pads to Centric Posi Quiet pads. The dust is much decreased and they eliminate brake squealing. The pads work well for street driving.

I have the classics and really appreciate how the brake dust is hidden in the gray area. I actually have to rub my finger across it to notice how much brake dust there is. OTOH, I think the wheels would also look nice if the gray was painted black.

Carrera Classic wheels are still my first choice. They should have gloss finish on the blacked out areas, really adds alot to the overall appearance of the car. The same is true with most of the other wheels Porsche offers.
