Always painful to see Trudeau’s luxury tax adding $24k to the price (and then you’ll pay HST on the luxury tax!).
I do wonder how the high gloss black will hold up over time, but otherwise the build is very nice. The carbon fibre interior details will work well. For me, Agate is a bit bland, so for a grey tone I’d probably go with Arctic or Ice, but that’s very much a personal choice.

The car may look better without the high gloss black package since the targa bar and the wheels are in satin black. Also this will be a scratch/swirl magnet unless you plan on towing the vehicle straight to the PPF shop.
Front axle lift - most say it is not necessary on a Targa because of the higher suspension
ACC - is this going to be a daily driver and see extensive use in traffic?
I would consider adding PDCC and RAS - PDCC will help with the top heavy nature of the Targa (RAS is a mandatory option with PDCC)

dont get me started on the luxury tax! At least we are in Alberta so no HST, but we get to pay GST on the luxury tax

thanks for the reply. I will consider removing it, although the wheels are painted in high gloss black as well. I wish the carrera exclusive design wheels were available on the GTS.
been back and forth on PDCC and RAS. Do you have experience with/without?
it’s just going to be a summer car, not a daily but will have a couple longer road trips per year, and hopefully a lot of lake trips (2 hour drive, when I borrow it )

Singular reason to avoid the GTS is the poor wheel selection.

"Also this will be a scratch/swirl magnet" I have the black exterior package and after 1 year I have no scratches or rock chips on any of it including the front spoiler and the glossy black painted GT3 side skirts to match the black glossy rims.
Don't remove it.... adds a look of quality to the car. Black exterior package

Since you asked....
- Agate grey is one of the most boring colors you can get on a 911. It would only make sense if your goal is to attract as little attention as possible.Jet black, chalk, and GT silver are much nicer "neutral" colors if you don't want attention.
- Front axle lift is a waste of money. You're going to scrape the front no matter what. Put that $$$ toward RWS instead.
- If you're already spending a quarter mil, might as well add the Burmester.
- Don't understand why folks get black interiors on targas/cabs. If you park it in the summer sun with the top down for more than 5 minutes you're going to burn your bum when you get back in. I would recommend chalk, beige, even grey.
- Other than that, looks pretty good.
