He is not comparing a Targa with a GTS. He is comparing a Targa 4GTS with a 4GTS and that is .2 seconds difference to 60 according to Porsche.
I test drove a Targa for 30 minutes a few weeks ago. In the short drive (with sport package), I found the ride a bit firm and noticed a bit of that wind "drumming" sound at around 35 mph with the roof retracted and the windows up. Apparently it is much improved from the 991 model, but you might want to listen for that when making your decision. Personally I like the look of the Targa with the roof up; with the roof down, to me, it always looked like two cars glued together.

I think it depends on not what you want but what allocation comes available first.
I was waiting for a 4gts coupe but had a chance to grab the targa gts so here I am waiting for delivery on October.
I personally think targa is more cool and has that extra history, plus being more scarce so added value😂😂
Best of luck!!

BTW - I know I want one - I just wanted to see the differences (if you read my post)
