Hmmm. so it goes away on its own? Turning just the power on/off is what seems to have caused it in my case.

Sorry to hear of the OP's problem. So, it's possible that it's an operator error issue with not turning and holding the "key" in the correct position long enough?

Hmmm. If only there was a simple solution that could resolve this, like having a single-press start button or something...

Mine doesn't seem to be an operator error. I was powering the car on while in the garage to program the various settings, stations, etc. I had just purchased my car and it was in the garage (so no reason to start the motor). It was powered on/off several times, and the message started appearing.

I think the new push buttons are a downgrade for the 911. I don't care for the buttons in my Taycan either.

I accept that many, maybe most, people share your opinion. I think the start button is a straightforward upgrade from having a fake fob in the dash to turn and a real one in your pocket. TEHO.

haha I can agree with you there. It certainly seems a bit illogical.

Default Lock error

It will go away after you turn ignition off then on. But after a series of times not turning the key all the way, it will happen again

From what I understand. If the error doesn’t reset there is a fault and the ignition needs service
