MY21, C2S, 13k miles, all canyon/fun, no issues except Bose speaker rattle. Seldom use the entertainment system. Do oil every 5k, flush brakes at 10k. On third set rears, second set fronts. Brake pad slap due in a couple thousand, pads at 4-5 mil remaining, rotors are halfway, but worn pretty smooth, 1 mill remains. Rears a bit more worn than front as expected. Stock brakes are very decent on the 992 except for track duty. Car has been reliable, not exactly been nice to it either. Had a few squeaks that went away on their own after getting past the first few k of the “brake in” phase. Don’t necessarily agree the car is a defect machine. Sure it feels that way if you have an issue. Happy customers don’t complain in the numbers disgruntled ones do. No comment is a good comment.

I hope the OP gets his issues sorted and resolved ASAP.

It's impossible to assess the frequency of 992 issues by reading an Internet forum due to clear confounding sampling issues.

The only thing we can accurately assess is that there ARE problems that arise: LiFePO4 battery issues, misfires, etc, not how frequent they're arising amongst all 992s.

fuel the car up and go out and I’m sure that’s it
Hmmm. Those speeds can be reached and maintained not going over 4k.

Why are these cars such disasters?

Car had gas. Not sure how this could be a fuel issue or injector, error states ACC. Isn’t that’s the cruise control?

Needless to say, interesting thread this has turned out to be…

I don't believe Porsche is ready for all this tech. I had an early Taycan Turbo S and it was also a disaster. I got rid of it after a few weeks and now this. I also have a Cayenne Rurbo GT coming and I'm concerned it will have issues as well.

I haven't had any. in fact of the three generations I have owned the 992 is by far the best put together.

It seems the manuals are the cars with the most issues which explains why you haven't experienced any problems. I will say I had two 991.2 GT3 manuals and non issues whatsoever. The 992 is a disaster so far.

I have a 2021 TTS. I had the same message: Engine control error... only a few times a few months ago at any speeds. It will go away when I restart the car. My tech told me it could be from fuel. No messages in the last 6 months. Good luck!

Just had my 2022 C2S 7MT cab throw that code. Corrected to normal 15 seconds later while still driving, ie, didn't stop restart car. Hope it doesn't come back.

I am having same issue "reduced engine power" when accelerating on highway. 2021 C4S, Brought it to the dealer and says it is bad injector on cylinder. Dealer says they need to drop the engine to change it. "Sounds like a lot of work and tearing my "baby" apart for a slightly annoying code that only appears once in a while. 4000 miles on the car. I am leaning towards not replacing it and hopefully it is bad gas or moisture in tank or a sticky injector that will free up over time. Has anyone changed a injector in a 992?
