here's my Targa GTS with decals. Before I added, the car just seemed to be missing something. The look may not be for everyone but I loved the way it turned out. Hard decision for sure but as someone else said they can always be removed.
I agree that the stripes you added added such a nice touch and something that was missing.
I think that's my question/concern with mine. Unfortunately it's not very reversible for me as I'm ceramic coating the car after customization. My understanding is that decals won't stick well afterward so I'm feeling pressure to decide now.

My observation is that most decals are poorly executed. There's at least one example of that offered on this thread already. However, even for conservative daily drivers, one doesn't have to look too far to see how amazing livery can lift a car. Porsche's own execution on the Sport Classic in launch spec is one example and Singer offers plenty of inspiration. A well executed decal lifts the car, especially on a mass production car like the 992, beyond plain vanilla. You don't need to spend $13k on PTS. All it takes is $200 on decals and good taste to make the car unique and give it personality.

My car was also ceramic coated before I added the decals. I used Prep Sol (photo of can) to remove the coating only in the area where the decals would be. After install I just re-applied the ceramic coating over the decals and trust me it's not rocket science as some would lead you to believe!

Curious why you did that. Will decals not stick on coating? I was planning to hold off on installing the decals until AFTER I coated the car.

I think the decals would still adhere, but it's recommended that the surface be free of any wax/ceramic coating. I did the decal install myself and having a clean surface did help with adhesion. If you're definitely going to add decals I would advise installing first, then ceramic coat. Will make it easier for whoever does the work. Plus, the decals will then also be treated with the ceramic coating so really no downside.

My main concern is getting them off as I don't plan on keeping it on the car permanently and I figured installing it on top of the coating would make adherence low tack. Something to think about for sure.

That's really helpful. Thank you! I think at this point I'm going to go without, and then I can add them on if I get bored or don't like how it turned out.
Seems like a lot less hassle than putting them on at the start, having the whole thing ceramic coated, then removing and putting ceramic coating back over the removal spot (which I'm guessing would have a noticeable shadow effect).
