I was at PECLA last week, courtesy of PCNA, for 90 minutes of circuit driving. Drove their 992 GTS C2 with LWB. The buckets were simply perfect for the event. I was simply blasting through the circuit including the skid pad with my instructor, and I really had a great time. He was on a GTS then a TTS. I have been to the BMW’s Performance School at Thermal – it was a mixture of classroom and driving.
PECLA’s circuit, designed more as a challenging canyon road, was perfect for my goals of improving my canyon carving and learning the GTS limits. I learned many years ago that a Porshe/BMW Professional Driver Coach reveals the real capability of their cars beyond what I can ever do, and I’m not slow.
A three-course courtesy lunch at Restaurant 917 (Duck for the main course) topped the day. I am grateful to PCNA.
I was told PECLA Delivery does two deliveries a day only. Seems their cleaning/detailing of a car prior to delivery is far superior to CA dealerships (verified first-hand by a well-recognized independent detailer in SoCal who is also a forum sponsor).
Did your TYD update to at dealer yet ? Just wondering since my dealer said mine should be there by Saturday ( Bay Area )
On Wednesday I got texts from the dealer about it arriving (w/photos), and within the hour also got the TYD email updates for step 10 and 11 (at the same time, and step 10 was backdated to the previous day)
