Dear Porsche owners
as much as I enjoy my aventurin 4S i am thinking about a grill badge to “make her mine”
the color matching 100 y Ferry Porsche badge has arrived, but I am not so happy to use the attached zinced screws to bolt it on.
i noticed that the heritage edition badge is mounted on a plastic carrier (pic attached)
the Porsche parts guy struggled to order it for me as it was aparently not it the rear grill part group…
while he is still searching (first for the Vin of a heritage or sport classic and further in the prt group), may be the forum can help?
Or may be there is another quick fix invented?

First... can you give me more info on the "color matching 100 y Ferry Porsche badge" please? I've got a bit of a rear badge collection I've started, though I rarely mount them.
I looked into the heritage badge carrier when I was getting my car. Someone was selling one on here. In the end I passed because I was told that you'd need to cut the vent to install it and I didn't want to modify my car in that way.
I came up with a solution that works for me though. It is contrived and overkill, which is right up my alley!
I mounted 1/8" think foam rubber padding cut to shape on the back of the badge that I want to mount (so it wouldn't damage the slat faces).
Then I took the studs coming off the back of the badges and I sleeved them in heat shrink along the length from the badge to just below the vent (there are a few spaces that you can sneak the studs through). This keeps the studs from scratching where they pass through.
I then used the mounting bracket provided (or fabricated my own) on the back side of the vent with nuts to hold the badge in place.
I wish that I had a photo, but it works well and holds the badges with no chance of marring the car and with no modifications to any trim.

My Carrera T is currently in production. I have three different badges, will probably mount two and sell one. They are both adorning the grilles in the roll bar behind my Boxster headrests, but I will remove when I sell the Boxster. One is a PCA badge, the other (nor yet mounted anywhere) is from the 2022 Porsche Parade. I am wondering if there is some kind of rear grille dynamics (as there are with the front active louvers in the standard 911 front grilles) that might be impacted if you put a badge on with the normal screws and brackets.

How did you mount these? I have a Martini Racing grillebadge that came without a backing just screws I want to mount. Ideas?
If it came with threaded posts that are long enough then you can probably just use fender washers and the correct sized nuts on the back side of the grille.
Here are some shots of a new little badge I picked up recently. This one is just a single post, but badges with two posts would just straddle one of the grille fins.
You could also use some thin sheetmetal to fabricate a little plate with two holes to use on the back side with some nuts.
no problem. I started a little collection of grill badges when I picked up the 992, but rarely put them on, often because I think they are too large/loud.
I got this one recently and it is spending much more time on the car. It is super cool and just the right size for my taste.
