Default Locking the car

On all the cars I have owned recently, I can push a button when I am exiting the car, and when I close the door the doors lock. On my 911 I have to close the door and then swipe the door handle on the outside. Is there a way to do it the way that I am used to?

You can use your key fob.

My 25K 2020 Honda has a programmable feature set to automatically lock the car upon exit. Super great feature that wish my 150K 911 had.

Imagine if you actually had to perform a manual function of inserting a metal key inside a door lock every time you exited the vehicle and entered it. The horror.

Don't you just touch the little indent at the front side of the door handle? That's the same "movement" as pushing a button on the door. Touch the indent or push a button... same thing? I don't swipe anything.

You don’t have to swipe. Just press the indent area and it will beep.
