So the Cargraphic control unit will override the factory button no matter what. So you'll need to essentially use the cargraphic controller to open/close if it was what open/closed the valves. You can close the valves via the cargraphic and use the PSE button but it will only do the Porsche programming. Cargraphic closed is factory default close.

- ON -> valves open 100% independent of RPM aka "Open"
- OFF -> aftermarket controller is bypassed and the valves work like OEM, i.e. OME on/off function now works as it should w/o the controller.
Are you telling me that the OFF position the OEM can not be controlled to PSE = ON? and it always in OFF position?

Good video. Good review. Akro makes quality units (I have them on my BMW Motorcycles). Question: One portion of the video shows the muffler rotating into the car with the bumper cover on, the next on the dyno shows the bumper cover off. Pull the cover for install? My last exhaust I did on my 991.1 (Tubi) I did not have to pull the cover off, but it was much easier to do with the rear wheels off the car.

wait, what? I was about to buy a unit but those type of aftermarket controllers should work like
- ON -> valves open 100% independent of RPM aka "Open"
- OFF -> aftermarket controller is bypassed and the valves work like OEM, i.e. OME on/off function now works as it should w/o the controller.

I think a lot of people pull the bumper cover for Akra because it’s easier to install the required Akra tips. Other exhausts generally use stock tips which are mounted in the bumper. I believe I saw someone on here install the tips without taking the bumper off but it’s definitely harder.

I'm pretty sure the PSE button is still functioning after the Cargraphic install in my car. Meaning when I press the exhaust button on, it will get louder, no matter if the cargraphic is on or off. I'll confirm later.

These videos are really amazing, top notch stuff. You touched on it in the cargraphic valve controller video, but how does the "valves open" sound of that controller compare to the M engineering stage 1 tune with valves open? I assume it is the same sound?
Also, does the M-Engineering tune allow you to control valve position at all? For example, can it be set up so that you touch the PSE button and the valves open all the way at start, but then close the valves when you touch the PSE button again? In other words does the tune basically provide the same functionality as this controller or is it more limited? I would like to have more sound from the exhaust, but am hesitant to have a tune that opens the valves all the way, all the time, no matter what. So it would be great if it was controllable with the M-Engineering tune rather than just locked open all of the time. Thank you so much!

So the M-Engineering tune accomplishes the same thing. With PSE ON = 100% valves open and with PSE OFF = valves closed. I don't recall if the vehicle defaults to close or the last drive cycle. I'm not sure if it can be programmed or not that way but will check with M-Engineering. Aside from the power gains, the PSE ON/OFF is a nice feature but worth the price of the tune alone is the cold start delete in my opinion!

If you order the M-engineering tune, can you get it with both a stage 0 tune with cold start delete/valves open as well as a stage 1 93oct with the same options? Being the car is new I'd rather just break it in with stage 0 for awhile before going to stage 1. This just seams easier than getting the valve controller now then uninstalling it and selling when I eventually get a tune.
