Serious Question, why not just start with Cargraphic off? I leave valves closed until I’m out of my neighborhood and also shut them back off as I enter. I mounted the key fob to my sunglasses holder on the visor.

I’m not sure I want to leave my car running in my garage with doors closed for any amount of time.

I do keep them closed (valves). To be clear, I was contemplating what it would be like with the Tubi. That be the case (like you with your Cargraphic), why even worry about cold start delete. As for running it with your garage door closed for the 60-120 seconds it takes to come off high idle, well...live on the edge a little. You'll be ok in your car with the windows closed. I promise.

Anyone and up with the tubi straight pipe version? Any feedback? @Flat6Motorsports do you still have it on the car? Would like to drop by and hear it

I watched each exhaust video and they all sound pretty similar. If my primary goal is increased volume, would you recommend a Cargraphic Valve Controller or would any of these exhausts be noticeably louder and/or have a better tone?

I think cargraphic and stock exhaust will be louder than any valved exhaust with stock programming.

Sport cats will also increase volume, but not as much as opening the valves and sport cats have the possibility of throwing a CEL without a tune.

Cargraphic increases the volume or quantity of sound. It does not change the quality of sound or tone. Aftermarket catback exhaust changes the quality or sound of the tone. Catback exhaust can also increase quantity of sound via muffler delete. If you want to keep the exhaust valves, start with Cargraphic and go from there. If you want valve delete, go straight to valveless exhaust without Cargraphic. Judging exhaust sound from video/audio/microphone recording is quite difficult. Try to listen to the real exhaust system before you buy.

Thanks. Is there any exhausts that dramatically change the tone (i.e. make it sound higher pitched or less deep)?

I look at something titanium for higher pitch.

from my understanding, no. These engines don't sound the best. Now if someone is willing to try a 2.5 or even 2.25 inch straight pipe with an x-pipe built in, I would be very curious if that would fix the tone and if the fact that it's straight pipes from the cat would be free flowing enough not to affect horsepower

Thanks, that makes sense. I'll start with the cargraphic first. I've watched a few videos of the Ti Akra system and the tone sounds nearly identical to the PSE exhaust.

Starting with Cargraphic is good idea. But, I think it is a mistake to try to judge/pick aftermarket exhaust sound from videos. How it sounds depends on the microphone and recording environment-two uncontrollable variables greatly effecting the sound. Titanium (Akra, JCR, etc.) or inconel ($) changes the tone higher pitched than stock and provide max weight savings. My titanium JCR substantially different sound to PSE. SS systems (Soul, Tubi, etc.) delete PSE muffler and also sound good but also change the tone to a different pitch with much less weight savings. I would never personally drop $5-7 on an exhaust system without actually hearing it live in a 992 first and making sure I am going to be happy with it. Just cause I like it does not mean anyone else will like it. Hit the C & C and listen to everyone’s exhaust . Beauty is in the eye (ear) of the beholder. Best wishes with whatever you decide.

Solid advice. You MUST hear them in person; recordings are close to useless. I also agree with starting at a Cargraphic. Low cost, easy DIY install and easy to sell here if you end up wanting a tune or go valveless. FWIW, I went Cargraphic first and have been very pleased with thee result parrticularly at lower RPMs. I decided to add the iPE stainless cat-back for more volume and it's rowdy (but deeper) tone. The Flat6 Holiday sale helped because it only set me back around $1800.

The valve controller will be a nice improvement of sound due to the nature of the OEM valve actuation. That being said, it doesn't do anything for tone, this is where an aftermarket system really shines. It all comes down to preference. We really like the improvement in tone an aftermarket system adds.
