Another price increase - 4 to 8%
"Porsche plans to increase prices by 4% to 8% in the second half of the year for new models in the U.S. and Europe, Chief Financial Officer Lutz Meschke said on a call with reporters. He added that the company expects the base prices for its electric vehicles to be 10% to 15% higher than the corresponding internal combustion engine models.
“The expectation when it comes to the BEV transition is that we can achieve a very high price premium,” Meschke said."

Dang. Makes me even more happy that I got a late 2023 911 GTS allocation. Phew.

I was talking to my SA last week and he intimated there was another price increase coming on top of the one from last month.
That makes it about a 10-18% increase over MY2023.
That probably won't dampen enthusiasm for the high end variants since that target audience is likely unfazed by the marginal increase.
But, I do wonder about buyers of, for instance, the base 992 which is getting pretty up there in price...

$140k for a stripper S? I don’t know about that one. They may do it, but damn that’s a hard sell. If they increase the price hopefully they add a better base stereo and full leather.

It's funny that when I got my allocation in April 2021 for my Targa 4, the price for a base 911 had just cracked $100k for the first time. Now, two years later, it's at $114,400. Likewise, the cost of a Targa 4 is $14k more than my ride. So, with another mid-year increase, it looks like a base 911 will be $120k. Those are big increases in a short amount of time. No wonder my dealer is offering me over MSRP for my car when I bring it in for service. I politely tell him "no."

This is going to be a $200K car in a few years, bank on it. People are piling in to get the last ICE (even hybridized) variants of it, through the 992.2 and into the 994. So Porsche is going to milk that. When the rug is pulled out and its forced to go all ICE, they will have to build a new customer base for the 911 anyway, so they are going to milk the current customer base for all they can get.

Oh well, guess this makes my move to a 4.5 for my 981 GT4 way more appealing.
