Depends on what options one wants. "Helper springs" don't do anything for ride quality, and alternate, and arguably "better suited" suspension options are available aftermarket. Also, doesn't the T have shorter gear ratios? May be desirable for some.
This 100%. If the goal is to modify the car, thats what you want to start with. With a 991.2, youve got more aftermarket options for everything, no warranty to void, and mature ECU tuning options. Makes a lot of sense as a starting point.
Same ratios for 7MT across models, same ratios for PDK across models, different ratios between PDK and 7MT (one has 8 ratios and the other has 7). Even the turbo-series share the same ratios as the PDK Carrera/Targa, only the final drive differs.
