Default 992 (2023) Targa Rear Lid Trim Noise & Removal Help

Greetings. I'm a new 2023 Targa GTS owner (620 miles on car) and have a buzzing sound that I have isolated to the Targa Rear Lid Trim.

I have attached the audio file of the buzzing and pics of the trim, which I have isolated.

While driving, if I push up on the trim where the rear lid meets the Targa Bar, I can eliminate the buzzing. I suspect the trim is not mounted right. I want to try to fix on my own. I have taken it to the dealer and they are not able to isolate it but I have not taken it to the dealer after localizing the buzzing as they hold onto the car for 7-10 days and loaners are never available.

Wanting to know how I can remove the trim--I removed the Torx screws but the trim piece did not come off easily. I do not know if this is held together with clips or double-sided mounting tape but I don't want to break it. Looking for DIY advice/expertise on how to remove the trim pieces in the photos safely.

Thanks.

Same issue on a 2022 Targa. Started about 500 miles ago. Was going to ask about it when I took it in for service whenever it stops snowing....

This is why I ditched a 991.2 Targa for a 992 Coupe, these noises just kept popping up, need to turn up the Bose.

Default How to remove trim circled in yellow?

How can I find out how to remove the trim circled in yellow in the pics above? After removing by the screw on each side, it’s solidly on there. Don’t know if clips are being used or glue. But this is where the vibration is coming from.

Also, I’ve taken to same dealer 3 times. Is it worth it to go to a different dealer?

Did a quick search and nothing came up I could find. Another dealer might be best to try. Dealer tech will have the manual to show how the trim comes out, and since you isolated the specific area it’s coming from, they should be able to see what’s causing it.

At least one other post in this thread has the same issue, along with others experiencing creaking in other areas. We have our Targa stuck at the port, so reading these posts with interest.

Hi, did you ever find a resolution to the issue, curious as I have a metallic sounding buzz/rattle during the initial start and at about 13-1400 rpm
