@gellie did you start this thread because you've heard that the GB in certain light looks too purple. I heard that and saw a thousand photos on this forum. I can tell you after a month that the purple tint is extremely subtle. You never lose the predominant blue color of the paint. I was worried that I'd see a purple car in the wrong light but that's not the case. The color is beautiful. I was choosing between GB and Chalk. I'm glad I saved the money and bought GB. I love it.

I'm going to do a PPF on my 992, do you think the color will be different in the sun especially. With or without PPF is it the same? Thanks for your advice.

Zero change at all. See my posts/pics as mine has some PPF and some non-PPF panels.

None are my car but good pictures of GB in different lighting. The last photo was a GB Targa that I saw in person which convinced me to change my order

how do you guys with the GB keep dust from attracting on the surface. I swear this colour is like a magnet to dust particles.
Just washed the car yesterday, very sunny out.

For those looking in the SF Bay Area, Carlen (Redwood City) Porsche has a variety of cars (Macan, Taycan, sport classic) in Gentian Blue. I am trying to decide on GB vs Shark Blue for my 911 T and my personal thoughts: GB definitely dynamic and different to different people (my wife), but we both think it's dark and muted in shade and not as nice. In bright sunlight it has more complexity with nice shiny bright blue like some of the above pics, but often a lot of purple hue even standing in the same spot but just looking at different areas of the car. My thought is the brighter blue that I generally like is not reflected in the above photos. This type of blue is best seen under the artificial lighting under parking lots and in showrooms (as noted in above pics)-- however this is not real world. Overall I have been a little disappointed b/c I am generally a conservative person re: colors so prefer not to do Shark Blue but GB so far is too dark for me. I kinda prefer a more consistent blue like on all the blue Teslas around here. That said, those who like a more dynamic blue would definitely appreciate GB as it's never the same
