Why do you care what they think???? Get what YOU want. It's your car....

In Europe most people learn how to drive on manual cars and have used manual cars for most of their lives, so driving a manual doesn't have the same "special aura" as in the US.
If anything, high performance dual-clutch gearboxes like the PDK have an edge in terms of customer perception.

It was the most difficult decision in my configuration -- PDK vs. Manual.
At the end, because I want to use the car as a daily, the convenience and higher reliability of the PDK won.

Congratulations! I too drove manual most of my life but mine would be a manual. The PDK convenience is nice, but soon enough there will be no such thing as cars with gears let alone manuals. Even in Europe it will become a lost art. Get them while you can.

Absolutely!...this is kind of a big deal. All I really wanted was a base Carrera. Since the manual wasn't obtainable in a base car, I had placed an order for an S specifically for the manual transmission. Luckily, the T came along and I was able to snag an allocation shortly after I swapped my order.

I understand the convenience factor of a PDK, is it actually more reliable?

Exactly my thought sequence in getting a T.

I also had the same question as you and finally PDK won.

2. For some (like me) I could get a T, but not a C2.
3. I can neither afford, nor do I have an interest in an S
4. I like the idea of getting RAS
5. Option your car however YOU want it. Accept that others don't want the same thing out of THEIR Porsche as you want in yours. They have to live with their configuration choices in THEIR Porsche, not you.
you have summed it all up… well done my guy, I also agree with you. I don't buy a Porsche to please my neighbor.

I guess you get to get RAS with the T!
Unlike the base and lighter weight

@Macboy if our fellow rennlisters cannot read and/or follow simple directions to keep this thread ONLY for photos of delivered T’s, I’m going to ask for this to be folded into the main T discussion thread.

Lousy weather, so after driving it for 400 km, the solution was to get a rinseless wash in the garage.
Not really a photo shoot, only a few snaps of a few details. I hope you like it.

911 Carrera T badges.

Firing it up in the closed garage is an awesome feeling.

The Carrera S wheels look amazing in Titan Grey.

I love the contrasting bits of the Carrera T against the GT Silver.

Porsche Wappen

LED headlights

Carrera T badge

Sport-Tex interior with extended leather

Special bucket seat in the rear

Exhaust button, and a configurable one.

PDK was my choice at the end.

Sport Chrono clock.

First 400km done. It was impossible to keep below 4K rpm.

Its really annoying indeed. One more chance please. If people still keep discussing here just delete this whole thread. A moderator could also just delete all posts. But I can understand you have better things to waste your time with than correcting adult men acting like children.
