Quick update... So I ended up going with the third party software (Innovative Soft) and Apple Car Play now works like a charm with the full screen view. It was an interesting process and the long pauses as the system updates was daunting. Its generally straight forward and Raymond is awesome handholding you through the process. Ill update the thread if my experience with the system is any different than first impression, but so far, its great!
