Default 2 year update

My 2021 911s was delivered in November 2020. I ordered it as light as possible with the exception of the PDK since I track it. I have the M-Engineering stage 1 tune and over a year on that also. This is my daily driver. I have Michelin Alpine 5s for the winter and the standard P-Zeros in the summer. For the track I have GT3 spec Comp 2s.

Overall, the car has been great. I have 19k miles on it and taken a 2500 mile trip from Colorado to California and back. My city gas mileage is 19mpg and highway in the high 20s, this is with the tune. In the snow, the 2wd is an animal. Definitely grips better than even some AWD cars. Never been stuck or slid.

I love the light weight, which is relative, I do have a 1970 911 hot rod so I know what really light weight is. But for daily use, I can't say enough about how much fun this car is to drive. I don't feel the need to get anything else and don't want to drive anything else.

I've owned lots of cars and driven lots more over the years and this is by far the best car I've ever owned or driven. If you are wondering if the 911 would make a good daily driver, the answer is yes.

YMMV.

Good to know. Did the original P-zeros still going strong? Or did you have to replace it during the 19k miles period. Thanks.

I might make it though one more season with the P-Zeros. I typically split the year between the two. And the P-Zeros has a couple track days and a few autocross events on them.

It’s always great to see a positive post from an owner who actually uses their car. Glad you’re enjoying it!

Thanks. I always wonder why people buy these cars and then just keep them in the garage. The joy of ownership is driving them, not looking at them.

There's joy in both, but I know what you mean.
