On my 991 it took me at least an hour to unplug the daggum clip from the OEM module. The whole process isn't technically difficult and I liked it once it was done, but getting the thing unplugged and then plugged in was WAY more difficult than it needed to me.

I spent about 15 minutes trying to uninstall it when I sold the car, gave up, and just left it in there. My gift to the next owner.

Much easier, from what I’ve read on the SmartTop instructions. Waiting for spring to do install mine though.

Fyi: seller just replied with an email stating that costs have gone up too much and cancelled the order.

If there's enough interest in a group buy, we're happy to arrange. We've been an authorized dealer for this product for many years with plenty of happy Porsche customers (and other makes).

If anyone is interested please contact us ( info@bumperplugs.com ) and we'll pull this together with discounted pricing.

They don't. Its pretty easy to get tot he module but difficult to get the oem plug our as it has a catch that is hard to reach. i used a little 90 degree flathead to get to it.

I was looking at the installation instructions for the 992 Targa looks like seat backs come out

Maybe its semantics, but to me that is not removing the rear seats. It is a panel that pops out.
