My screws were comically expensive for what they were, but rather than figuring out sizing and ordering something through McMaster-Carr, I took the easy way out and just ordered through this link. They are really well made and will never need to be changed: https://titaniumcarparts.com/collect...late-fasteners
LOVE this! What are the right sized fasteners for our cars?

I’m in Texas, and my understanding is that the front plate is a “kicker” ticket - in other words, they can’t get you for that alone, but if you’re being a dick to a cop who’s pulled you over they can add it on. Even then, it’s a fix-it ticket - I’d pick up a mount that uses the tow-hook hole and use that to get signed off, then remove it again. (Don’t know what they’d do for a second offense if you do this).

I haven’t ran a front plate on any of my cars here and haven’t had a problem (knock on wood)

Same one I use.

In my youth, I used to pick up a basic black frame and some color-matched touch-up paint, and then would paint the frame to match the car. Gave a very clean result. (Looked exactly like the example in this post, just DIY.)
Now that I’m older, ain’t nobody got time for that **** - and the silicon protects the paint from being rubbed by the plate and/or a frame.

I used these that are a bit of overkill but keeps the plate off the car and no need to do any drilling.

I also use this too, as I like the machined screw vs tapping screw if you mounted directly to the bumper/OEM license plate holder

For the US spec car, which Fasteners are the correct ones? Bolt or screw? Length and size? Thanks in advance.
