>> Anyone regret settling for a PDK car over a manual?
As many have noted, the answer is 'it depends': context is everything. Road or track? Daily or garage queen? Traffic or canyons? Objectively better automatic 8-speed ratios or DIY 7-speed three-pedal engagement? Good to have choices...

It won't be my daily driver and it won't be my only sports car. I do have an S2k for when I want to roll my own gears. Only fear is that I will get bored of the PDK but also in my mind hard to justify in the used market $15k-$20K more for a 7 speed car (when it's a no cost option new).
I think I know the answer is just to spend more money! =)
No regrets about the PDK for me, but as @jlegelis notes above, context is everything.
Tbh, I wonder what kind of driving the 992 MT absolutists are doing because when I am really pushing the car on a technical mountain road (and definitely if I were to track it), the PDK really shines and allows me to focus on line, grip, rpm, braking, throttle, etc. If you’re driving on a grid in the Midwest, Texas, Florida, etc., I could better understand the appeal of having a MT to liven up the driving experience.
I’m sure that my opinion won’t be controversial at all. 😏
When I drive a technical mountain road (here in Colorado) in my 992 MT, I focus on line, grip, rpm, braking, throttle, as well as the gear change. Many might argue that the extra pedal and the gear lever bring you into further tune with the rpm, braking and throttle than one would be in a PDK. I absolutely cannot process the gear shifts as quickly as the PDK, never claimed to. But on mountain roads, and with the torque and power of the 992, I'm not using that many gears either.

I explicitly chose DCT for my M2c because I track that car. In a track situation - absolutely… I’m completely pre-occupied with lines, braking points, traction, hazards, traffic. For me - the MT just gets in the way on a track.
I’m just not able/willing to push my cars on the street hard enough to the point where the MT is a limiting factor.

I just like the experience of shifting the car myself, regardless of where or why. Nothing to do with road or traffic conditions.
