One things for sure after washing my car today.......black is a real pain in the *** to take care of....swirls, drip marks, rock chips....etc ......arragh!!... Even with partial PPF and ceramic. Looks great from 4 feet away .......and not in direct sunlight

On my Black 911's - I do full PPF and Ceramic coating (including wheels) - Black is a nightmare and after a few black 911s, I decide it is the only way to go. Makes cleaning a breeze and minimizes swirls, etc.
On my white, silver, etc. 911s - partial PPF on the front, and not a problem. Black cars is like having a second job, keeping it looking good. But when clean, black looks great.
I have had black cars for more than 50 years. Eventually you start to really like them even if dirty. I now think a dirty black car looks better than almost any other car clean and when a black car is clean, ooh la la!

I have a black SUV and agree that a black 911 looks great when clean, but sorry, but a dirty black car does not look better than another color that is clean. That's just you convincing yourself of something really weird.

Well, it's so nice to receive compliments on Rennlist! Can't you just say YMMV? Is that so hard? These are just our opinions about relatively harmless things like favorite colors. I would never call your opinions about colors weird and I would hope you wouldn't call the opinions of others weird, either. I actually think you have very good taste in choosing a Gentian Blue car.
