I am lucky enough to have received an allocation at MSRP from my local dealer. Unfortunately I am not able to do Euro delivery since it is filled up. I asked if I could do Porsche drive in lieu of euro delivery and they came back and said no. The best my dealer could do is put me back in the order demand system and hope I get another allocation later this year.
Does it make sense for me to ask for my deposit back or should I just take what I can get? This is a car I am going to keep for a long time and really wanted to pick it up in Germany..

Many people are in your same position... there is a lot of discussion on this already in the Carrera T thread fyi.
Likely going to be a very very limited run of Ts based on 992.2 announcement coming soon. Not sure how many allocations will be handed out, and a long line already of people waiting. If I were you I would hold on tight to your allocation and plan a nice trip to the factory this summer. Not sure why your dealer told you no on Porsche Drive... Book it yourself, and just go to Germany and see the sights... Porsche drive is for sure available at multiple locations... I did it in 2019, saw the factory and then drove all over Germany, Switzerland, Lake como... best trip of my life! It would be far more memorable to pick your own car up, but far more depressing to pass up your allocation, not get a shot at a second one and wait who knows how long for Euro Delivery to not be fully booked... Just my 2 cents, do what is right for you and your dream!

Thanks for the input! It actually turns out I am a year short for being able to do Porsche drive anyway since you need to be 27 lol.
That’s my worry also. I could let go of this allocation only to have the .2 come out and wait god know how long for the T to go back into production. There also is no guarantee that I wouldn’t run into the same issue down the line.

So funny... I did porsche drive trip literally on the exact day of my 27th birthday back in 2019!! It was a father/son trip with my dad that we planned so I could be eligible for Porsche drive with him. Well as soon as you cross the age mark, I highly recommend... you will never forget it
I came home from that trip and 9 months later bought my first 992! I fell in love with the euro spec 992 carrera s we rented and was sold on it

That is awesome! I plan on doing that as soon as I am able to! I’d love to be able to ship my own car over, but it just doesn’t seem feasible from what I’ve read lol.
