I don't seem to have to use that app...but it is free
- You can the MyQ phone app for free.
- If you also want to use Siri voice to open your garage, then you need to "bridge" MyQ to Apple's HomeKit ecosystem.
You can still find the bridge device (Liftmaster 819LMB) for sale, for example: https://a.co/d/bbTaige. Again, you only need this if you want to use Siri. Many customers just rely upon the MyQ phone app.
EDIT: I haven't tried this myself, but it looks like you can also use IFTTT (paid service) to bridge Siri to MyQ app: https://ifttt.com/explore/smart-garage-set-up-myq

If they had just left the *&*^&%^%^&**&^%$#%$^^$%$# thing alone with the switches where God intended and the rest of humanity "expected them to be" we wouldn't be in this predicament. So many little things they've truly messed up...excellence is expected took a day off no doubt

Since some folks have messaged me on this one - here is how I got Siri to work with my MyQ enabled garage doors.
I used a free, open source, software utility called HomeBridge.io, there are no monthly fees and aside from having a spare apple computer in my case, no hardware of any sort.
I was tired of trying to use the HomeLink software buttons in my car (even the assignable button) and the MyQ app on my phone was okay but cumbersome, and of course having a spare garage door opener in my car is the logical answer - but heck no. I had had a Tesla which automatically opened the doors based on GPS location as I approached them and that was awesome so I wanted something similar.
So on a Sunday afternoon, I discovered that Chamberlain made a bridge that connects the MyQ enabled devices to Apple HomeKit (i.e. "Hey Siri, Open my large garage door"). They had subsequently stopped producing these b/c there was limited demand (searched it there aren't enough nerds in the world apparently). These are *still* available from resellers - for ~US$100.
If you are not terribly technical - then I suggest you just get a the bridge above.
I didn't want to wait for a delivery and realized that (increasingly) anything done in hardware could be done in software (and vice versa).
My solution:
So I found https://homebridge.io/, downloaded it and installed the it's MyQ plugin on an Apple computer I leave running all the time in our house, configured the plugin to connect to my MyQ account - and within 20 minutes it was working. I also installed the Lutron Caseta lighting plugin for lighting control too. If the computer is asleep it works, but if the computer is off then the connection between MyQ and the Apple HomeKit does not work. So just be aware.
From any Apple Phone/Watch/iPad/Computer or Apple CarPlay in any car I have my phone connected to, located anywhere in the world, and logged into my AppleID account (or an enabled family member) I can say "Hey Siri, [Open | Close] the [Large|SmallAll] garage door[s]" and it will open or close (closing takes a few extra seconds b/c the garage door will beep a warning/light to ensure people in the garage know that it is closing first).
This works great just driving down my street and telling the garage door to open the door and I drive in. I have alerts set so my devices, including my Apple TVs, alert me when the doors open or close.
I even use it in every car that has the physical HomeLink buttons because it will work from any distance from my house.
Once, and only once, in almost a year, did the garage doors open on their own in the middle of the night. I had just done an update to HomeLink, so not sure what caused it - but I could not find any evidence of hacking/intrusion. We have an home alarm system on the doors so at least we got the alerts from Apple HomeKit as well as the home alarm system notifying us that the doors were opening. Took about a week for my wife to get comfortable with the system again - but it's been solid for 6 months since then.
This was one of those fun, simple, "it just works", projects. YMMV

Homelink list reshuffle?
Posted this months ago but no response. Assume you paired four doors/openers to Homelink. When you get close to location, the pop up reads left to right 1-2-3-4.
Now assume you want to put those in a different order, like 2-4-1-3. There appears to be no way to move the assigned labels to another position. I've gone as far as deleted and re-paired in different order, but so far no joy.
If anyone has found a way to swipe/move these assigned spots on the PCM, please share! Thanks.

1. Open garage door and open garage opener to reveal learn button
2. turn key to accessory (do not turnover engine)
3. go to homelink add new config screen and pair your garage controller from inside the car (point your garage controller to pcm until the "next" button appears)
4. exit car and go tap "learn button" on your garage opener
5. get back in the car tap and HOLD the send signal button from PCM until garage door closes -- if necessary tap "repeat" and then tap and hold send signal button again -- garage door will close even if you need to repeat several times. Just be patient.
6. save config
7. drive car around the block and return to your expected approach where you would usually open the door, stop there and save location.
8. add shortcut to whereever you like (action button on steering wheel or below PCM)
9, pour yourself a (beverage of choice) rum neat and bask in the success of your efforts.

Can I fly you up from Florida to Long Island to do it on my Targa? I could never get this to work for me. Tried repeatedly, and I mean repeatedly! finally gave up and just use the remote keep it in the center console…easy Peasy.

DM me and maybe we can do a facetime this weekend.
Maybe I'll make a youtube video -- easy peasy.
