Default C2 or C24S

I am looking at two 992s - C2 and C24S. Both are 2021's, have 3K miles, with similar options. The C24S is a private owner and would cost me $15K more then the C2. The C2 is a CPO vehicle (warranty until August 2027). Since I live in Chicagoland, I don't plan on driving the vehicle that much until Spring 2023 so I am not sure if I wait until then and see what is out there since used car prices are dropping. .

To add another wrinkle, I can build new C8 HTC Vette at MSRP with guaranteed delivery by March 2023. The C8 HTC is $20K less than the C2 and $35K less than the C24S.

I know it is my decision but looking for thoughts and opinions....especially from those that have driven the C8 and the 992 (base or 4S). Thank you.

Go for the 24-wheel drive. Super rare.

If you were picking now, pick the CPO one and move on.

The C8 dollar store Lambo that the aero fairies puked on isn't even a comparison point unless you want hp/$.

If you can wait, I would wait.

Have you thought of ordering a new 911 at all? Might be worth it if it is in your price and time future.

I just went through this and here are my thoughts FWIW. I wanted a low mileage 21 or newer C2S or C4S. Whichever one I found that I liked the build and price best, I was going to get. Ended up with a one owner CPO 21 C4S that had 2800 miles on it with full PPF/tint. It was right in the middle of pricing of similar ones of each I found across the country. I’ve test driven both quite a bit and honestly if I hadn’t seen the badge on the rear, I’m not sure I’d know which one I was in. Now that I’ve driven in snow with PA5s on I can obviously tell a little more of a difference. That being said, I wouldn’t be afraid to drive a C2S in the same conditions either.

Is it a Lambo... or is it a Ferrari?
